When I have a deep emotional attachment to an event or circumstance in my life and I’m being asked to let it go, it can often feel like I’m being asked to move on and forget about the past, person, or event that I’m deeply connected to.

Learning what letting go means is a life’s work in my experience – it takes conscious effort and requires me to do some introspection about what’s true and what layers I’m actually attached to, what needs letting go of and what’s still authentically alive and serving me well.
