Self-awareness is all about having a clear perception of ourself, including our strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, values, patterns, motivation, and emotions.

It is the foundational skill that allows us to manage our emotions, enjoy good relationships with others and create a deeply meaningful life. To truly be ourselves, we need to truly know ourselves.
The tricky part about self-awareness is that we can resist, avoid, even deny seeing what we may need to unless we can do so in a way that allows us to be kind, caring and compassionate with ourselves, the same way we would be with our best friend. What would it be like to actually be our own best friend?
