I’ve come to understand that self-care is radical when it runs counter to the messages wired in me.
So, rest when I want to keep pushing is radical. Connection when I want to hide. Fun and play when I value seriousness
Radical self-care has looked like doing just enough at work on that project where just enough was enough.
Radical self-care means being easy with myself, and it means compassionately pushing sometimes, too. It means releasing myself from the pressure and opening into spaciousness.
Can you relate?
What self-care practices feel radical to you right now?
With great warmth
